WB-Roof Hatch - Re-Designed

This newly re-designed WB Roof Hatch offers many improved features such as a heavier duty lock and handle assembly, heavy gauge, weather-resistant gasketing and fully concealed hinge hardware located on the interior making rust unlikely. Pre-lubricated compression springs, encased in zinc-plated telescopic tubes held in place by 3-sided welded brackets. Durable and re-coatable gray primer finish come standard.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES:

General: Roof access hatch shall be model WB-RH 30x36 STEEL manufactured by Acralight, exclusively for The Williams Bros. Corp of America, and shall have an electrostatically applied, thermally-fused high gloss powder coating; color to be Safety Red, to match Federal Spec #11105. A yellow and
black striped visual warning signal shall be on top of curb and on inside of lid. Curb Construction: Curb shall be 14 Ga. Galvanized steel with 1" solid mounting surface and shall be 12" in height with a 3-1/2" flange and mounting holes for roof attachment; integral cap flashing of the same material and thickness as the
curb. Curb and cap flashing shall be fully welded at the corners for a watertight construction. Hinges are two piece formed steel, with a non-removable heavy duty pivot pin.

Covers: Cover shall be tapered; 14 Ga. Galvanized steel, with radius corners for safety, and shall be fully welded at the corners for a watertight construction. The cover liner shall be 22 Ga. The cover shall be insulated with a 1" thick fiberglass insulation and reinforced as required to support a 40lbs/ft live load. The seal of the hatch lid shall be provided by an EPDM gasket material that is mechanically bonded to the lid.

Hardware: Provided hardware includes: An interior handle with a positive, one-point locking mechanism; exterior handle, and provisions for a padlock,both inside and out; pre-lubricated compression springs, encased in zincplated telescopic tubes, for smooth and controlled operation at any position; An automatic, hold-open arm, with a vinyl grip. All hardware shall be corrosion resistant, and all fasteners shall be of a self-locking type.
